Sunbeam Bingo Terms and Conditions
The following terms govern the operation of Sunbeam Bingo Club, managed by Sunbeam Bingo Ltd, a single bingo venue in Cork, Ireland. They ensure compliance with Irish law, specifically the Gaming and Lotteries Amendment Act 2019, and provide clear rules for members. Sunbeam Bingo Ltd is registered in Ireland under company number 526513, with contact details at info@sunbeambingo.ie.
General Club Rules
1. Sunbeam Bingo Club is operated by Sunbeam Bingo Ltd.
2. Sunbeam Bingo Ltd is a company registered in Ireland under company number 526513.
3. The club operates under lottery permits issued in accordance with the Gaming and Lotteries Amendment Act 2019.
4. All players must apply for club membership. Membership cards are non-transferable.
5. By participating, all customers agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
6. Sunbeam Bingo may update these Terms and Conditions as needed, with changes posted in the club.
7. Players must be 18 or older. Acceptable identification includes a passport, driver’s licence, or National Age Card.
8. The club reserves the right to deny or revoke membership without explanation or prior notice.
9. Members must present their membership card at every visit.
10. All games are overseen by an appointed official, whose decisions on gameplay are final, as per the Bingo Playing Rules.
11. Only authorised gaming, as permitted by Sunbeam Bingo, is allowed on the premises.
12. Gaming at Sunbeam Bingo: a. Takes place on days and times set by the club, with schedules clearly displayed. b. Admission and participation fees are determined by Sunbeam Bingo in line with the Gaming and Lotteries Acts. c. Customer funds, whether held in cash or the club’s general account, are at the customer’s risk and unprotected in case of insolvency.
13. The club may establish rules to maintain order, regulate games, and manage events, including limiting attendance or participation.
14. Members must follow these rules, comply with club regulations, and respect decisions made by appointed officials during games or events.
15. Sunbeam Bingo, its staff, and agents are not liable for any customer loss, damage, or injury, except where caused by the club’s negligence.
16. Customers acknowledge that Sunbeam Bingo, its staff, and agents are not responsible for issues arising from equipment failure, misprinted tickets, errors in publicity, staff errors, or third-party actions. In such cases, Sunbeam Bingo’s decisions are final, regardless of prior or subsequent statements by staff. Prizes awarded in error are subject to review, and recipients must refund them if deemed incorrectly awarded by the club.
17. For gaming disputes, customers should first contact the Duty Manager. If unresolved, issues can be escalated in writing to the Venue Manager, then a Senior Manager. Suggestions or complaints can be emailed confidentially to info@sunbeambingo.ie.
18. Photography or video recording (including via mobile phones) is prohibited inside the club without management’s explicit permission.
19. Additional rules posted in the club form part of these Terms and Conditions.
20. The club may amend, revoke, or update these rules at any time, with notices displayed in the venue.
Bingo Playing Rules: Before the Game
1. Players participate by purchasing cards, books, or electronic bingo handheld tickets for a set price, displayed at the venue’s sales point. Prices vary by session.
2. “All In” book purchases cannot be divided among players. Split books are void, and no prizes can be claimed.
3. Discounted ‘Package’ purchases offer no refunds or additional discounts for missed games.
4. All bingo equipment is inspected before each session begins.
5. Players must ensure their cards or books are undamaged. Issues must be addressed during the first session.
6. The caller will specify the game type (e.g., one line, two lines, full house) and winning conditions before play begins.
During the Game
1. The caller announces numbers one at a time, as generated by the equipment, with numbers displayed on monitors for player convenience.
2. Numbers are also shown on indicator boards. If there’s a discrepancy between the caller’s announcement and the board, the equipment-generated number (RNG) prevails.
3. Players mark called numbers on their cards or handhelds. When using markers, ensure numbers remain legible for verification.
4. Pages must not be removed from books, and covers must stay intact. Violations void the book, and no prizes can be claimed.
5. Number re-checks are permitted until the 10th number or a line claim, whichever comes first. During a re-check, the caller pauses, recalls numbers in order, and checks for claims on the last number called. Re-checks are not allowed in the first game of a session, and a maximum of four re-checks per session is permitted.
Stopping the Game
1. Players who complete the required pattern must shout to stop the game immediately, before the next number is announced.
2. A number is considered called as soon as the caller begins announcing it, including its colour. Once started, the number must be fully called and counts as the last number.
3. Displayed numbers are not valid until announced by the caller.
4. Players are solely responsible for stopping the game by shouting loudly enough for the caller to hear before the next number is called. For electronic bingo handhelds, pressing the claim button alone is insufficient; players must also shout. Staff cannot assume this responsibility. Alerting others or staff is not valid if the caller does not hear the claim in time, and no third-party testimony is accepted.
5. In separate areas from the caller, players must use a microphone or claim buzzer to stop the game in time. Alerting others in the area is not sufficient.
6. If multiple patterns (e.g., one line, two lines, full house) are active on one ticket, later patterns can be claimed simultaneously with earlier ones. For example, a full house claim during a two-line game entitles the player to both prizes. Other valid claims at the same time share the relevant prize equally.
Claiming Prizes
1. Books must be intact for prize verification.
2. To claim a prize, players must present their book, card, or electronic bingo handheld along with their membership card. Failure to provide a valid membership card within two minutes forfeits the prize, and the game resumes to find another winner. Management may assist in validating membership at their discretion, with reasons for disqualification provided.
3. The caller decides on claims and announces the outcome. If a claim is denied, the reason will be explained before play continues.
4. If a player stops the game in error and declines a card check, Sunbeam Bingo bears no responsibility for that game.
5. In cases of equipment failure or duplicate/incorrect tickets (paper or electronic), multiple claimants share the prize equally.
6. If a Duty Manager approves a subsequent claim not validated by the RNG, the later claimant receives a share of the prize, while the validated ticket holder may receive the full advertised amount. For example, a €100 line prize with one validated claim pays €100. If a second valid claim is later approved, the second winner receives €50.
7. No claims are accepted after the caller closes the game or clears the indicator board.
8. Ticket or prize-sharing arrangements are at the players’ risk. Sunbeam Bingo’s sole obligation is to pay the prize to the holder of the winning ticket.
9. If equipment failure halts a game, called numbers stand, and the game continues on alternative equipment.
10. If incorrect prize or jackpot amounts are announced or displayed, the caller or Duty Manager will correct them publicly before the session ends, and the corrected amount is awarded.
11.The Duty Manager’s decision is final in all matters.
Additional Information
1. Multiple valid claims for a game split the prize equally among winners.
2. For non-cash prize games, the caller will outline the procedure for
multiple winners before the game starts.
3. Employees cannot participate in gaming at the club.
4. Prize amounts displayed or announced may change without notice at
Management’s discretion.
5. The club may withdraw advertised prizes without consultation.
6. Rules may be updated, revoked, or amended, with changes displayed in
the club and compliant with the Gaming and Lotteries Acts.
7. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Jackpot Rules
1. General Bingo Rules apply to jackpot games, except as noted below.
2. A main session book purchase is required to participate in jackpots.
3. For jackpots requiring an additional stake, players must verify payment.
Paper players must ensure jackpot stamps are recorded and legible;
electronic players must confirm jackpot purchases in their package.
4. Multiple winners who paid the additional stake share the full jackpot.
5. Jackpots are available in designated games, with only numbers called in
those games counting. Repeated numbers are invalid.
6. Prizes depend on the number of calls needed for a valid claim, as set by
the club before the game.
7. Unwon jackpots roll over to the next designated session or game.
8. For mandatory-win jackpots, the caller continues calling numbers until a
valid claim is made.
9. If multiple jackpot opportunities exist in one day, winners wait until all
games conclude to determine if the prize is shared.
Super Book or Variant Bingo Games
1. Prize amounts for specific stakes are shown on the indicator board, with
other stake levels announced at the game’s start.
2. For games with multiple stake levels (e.g., free and €10 Super Book),
prize allocation for multiple winners follows this example: a. Free book full house prize: €40; Super Book full house prize: €100. b. Three validated claims: one free book, two Super Books. c. Free book prize (€40) ÷ 3 = €13.34 to one winner; Super Book prize (€100) ÷ 3 = €33.34 to two winners.
Prize Bingo Rules
1. Club Rules and Pongo Rules (as displayed) apply, except as noted.
2. Participation fees for a single chance to win a prize cannot exceed €5.
3. If a single fee provides multiple prize chances, the €5 limit still applies.
4. Cash prizes cannot exceed €500.
5. No one under 18 may participate.
6. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Electronic Bingo Handheld Terms & Conditions
1. Electronic bingo terminals are referred to as “electronic bingo handhelds” or “handhelds.”
2. In case of handheld failure, Sunbeam Bingo’s liability is limited to
refunding stakes for unplayed games.
3. Games continue during handheld replacement or reset.
4. Each handheld supports up to 168 tickets.
5. Only members with valid membership cards can use handhelds, limited to one per member.
6. Members are responsible for handhelds upon purchase. Sunbeam Bingo may charge for loss or damage.
7. A minimum of 12 main session tickets at full price is required to use a handheld, unless otherwise stated.
8. Special offers and their conditions are displayed at purchase and supplement these rules.
9. Discounts and offers may be reviewed or removed at Management’s
discretion without notice.
10. Sunbeam Bingo is not liable for missed claims due to handheld technical issues.
11. Handheld ticket packages may not include all numbers 1–90 per strip of 6 tickets, and double numbers may occur.
12. Members must return handhelds to the collection point at session’s end.
13. PIN security protects accounts. Members should change the default PIN and keep it secure.
14. Players must verify, via receipt or handheld display, that all requested tickets are loaded. Sunbeam Bingo is not liable for uncharged tickets; charged but unloaded tickets are refunded and void for claims.
15. If a handheld fails, games continue, and faulty units are replaced if possible. Players unable to complete a game due to failure receive a refund for affected tickets, which are void.
16. If more handhelds fail than spares are available, electronic bingo may
be halted, but regular bingo continues with recalculated prizes.
17. Players mark numbers using auto-dab, by touching the ticket display, or, in self-marking mode, by touching the called number. This records marks automatically.
18. In self-marking mode, players must mark the correct RNG-generated number. Errors can be corrected using the “catch up and correct” feature, but Sunbeam Bingo is not liable for missed claims due to incorrect marking.
19. To claim, players must shout promptly and, if required, press the handheld’s claim button before the next number is called. The winning ticket must include the last number called.
20. For bingo machines or other games on handhelds, failure results in a stake refund, and incomplete games are void.
21. Accounts unused for 12 months may incur a €5 annual administration fee.
22. Customer funds in cash or the club’s account are at the customer’s risk and unprotected in insolvency.
23. Pongo, Bingo Machine, and Bingo Rules apply alongside these terms.
24. Management’s decision is final in disputes.
Pongo (M.C.B.) Rules
1. Club Rules apply, except as modified here.
2. A participation fee, shown on the Charges to Play Notice, is charged per
game.
3. An active visual indicator light at the playing position confirms payment and is required for claims.
4. Prize money is calculated as the number of players times the stake, minus any fees.
5. The caller announces numbers from a random number generator. A number is called as soon as the announcement begins, even partially. The caller completes the call before addressing claims.
6. Winning patterns include lines (horizontal, vertical, diagonal), four corners, four centre squares, or multiples in two-line or full-board games, as announced by the caller.
7. Free squares, if applicable, are announced before the game.
8. Players must ensure their indicator light is on and they are credited for
play.
9. Multiple winners share prizes equally per Club Rules.
10. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Bonus Button Rules
1. Pongo Rules apply unless otherwise stated.
2. Stakes and prizes are announced before the game.
3. For players using both A and B boards, both must be credited for the Jackpot Game.
4. Boards with insufficient credits are not eligible for the Bonus.
5. Players are responsible for crediting boards; Sunbeam Bingo accepts no liability for failures.
6. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Bingo Machines Terms
1. These terms complement Club Rules.
2. Players must be 18+ and hold valid membership.
3. Only authorised gaming is permitted.
4. Sunbeam Bingo will report to the Gardaí any member using gambling for crime or disorder.
5. Members may not loan or borrow money or pass counterfeit currency.
6. Sunbeam Bingo is not liable for loss, damage, or injury, except where caused by negligence.
7. Customers play bingo machines knowing Sunbeam Bingo is not responsible for equipment failures, staff errors, or third-party actions. Prizes awarded in error are subject to review, and recipients must refund them if deemed incorrect. Players must report machine faults immediately.
8. Payouts are at the Duty Manager’s discretion, case-by-case, without
precedent.
9. Payouts may require a valid membership card or ID. Payments are final, with no further claims considered.
10. Reserved notices are allowed only during Main Stage bingo and five minutes before/after intervals. They may be removed without notice, and Sunbeam Bingo is not liable for losses or card removal by others.
11. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Free Draw Terms
1. A main session book purchase is required for free draws.
2. Prizes must be claimed within 2 minutes of the draw.
3. Players are responsible for safeguarding draw tickets.
4. Damaged or altered tickets are void, and no prizes are issued.
5. Sunbeam Bingo may substitute prizes with alternatives of equal or
greater value.
6. Rules may be updated without notice.
7. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Promotional Offers: Gifts, Stamp Cards, Vouchers
1. Promotions are for Main Session bingo players on specified sessions.
2. Only one ‘Free’ or ‘Money off’ offer can be used at a time (e.g., a Free Early Bird offer cannot combine with a Free main book voucher).
3. Eligible members receive one gift/offer maximum.
4. Claiming a gift/offer precludes using other vouchers or cashback.
5. Cash payments for gifts must be made before issuance.
6. Gifts/offers are redeemable only on specified dates.
7. Players must safeguard stamp cards or vouchers.
8. Lost cards cannot be replaced due to past fraud.
9. Damaged or altered cards/vouchers are void.
10. Stamp cards are stamped only during relevant sessions; missed stamps are not excused.
11. If gifts run out, an out-of-stock voucher is issued, redeemable within a set period.
12. Sunbeam Bingo may substitute gifts with alternatives of equal or greater value.
13. Faulty gifts must be returned within 14 days for refund or replacement. No liability applies after this period.
14. Rules may be updated without notice.
15. The Duty Manager’s decision is final.
Complaints and Disputes: Gaming Disputes Procedure
1. Sunbeam Bingo ensures fair and transparent gaming with industry-standard equipment.
2. Gaming complaints or disputes should be addressed to the Duty Manager immediately.
3. If unresolved, concerns should be submitted in writing to the Venue Manager at info@sunbeambingo.ie. Responses are provided within 5 working days.
ONLINE BINGO TERMS
1. This website is operated by Sunbeam Bingo Ltd. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Sunbeam Bingo Ltd.
2. Sunbeam Bingo Ltd offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.
